Happy Independence Day!
As we celebrate the founding of our democracy, feeling grateful to see so many coming together to celebrate with family and friends! Last night we celebrated by watching the Duxbury and Marshfield beach fireworks with friends. We started off the 4th with a traditional parade through Red Acres Farm in Hanson with friends who have become family to us and some of our own family. Then we organized our team to walk the Duxbury July 4th parade where we ran into many new and old friends. However you celebrated, I hope you had fun— and stayed hydrated!!
Special thanks to Josh S. Cutler for walking the parade and to Maria McClellan for loaning us her 1950 Ford pickup!
Grateful to Jim Cantwell, Steve Moore, John Bowes, Lori Sullivan, Katrina Delaney, Luca Coletta, Adriana Alberts, Susan McDonough Moran, and my husband Robert Paul for walking, handing out candy and flags and driving! And thank you to others like Mary Lampert who joined for all or part of the parade!
If you saw our friend take a spill from the back of the truck, happy to report that she is feeling good except for a scraped elbow!
