I want to thank Shay Studley Toland for hosting such a fantastic fundraiser at her beautiful home in Duxbury this past Saturday, June 22nd.
It was an absolute pleasure to see so many new and old supporters come together to support our shared vision for the 6th Plymouth District! It was great to catch up with Josh S. Cutler in his hometown of Duxbury.
We raised funds to support campaign planning, staffing, and operations, helping set the campaign up for success. To everyone who attended, thank you from the bottom of my heart. Your belief in me and in our campaign keeps me motivated every day. As someone who has served on the Hanson and Pembroke Select Boards and worked in the State House, I know that service is about listening and bringing people together across the aisle to get things done.
Nights like these truly remind me that I am on the right path, for the right reasons, and surrounded by the right people - all in service of our incredible community. As someone who has dedicated the last 20 years to improving the lives of people in this community, I am committed to bringing my experience as a business attorney, local public official, social worker, and mom to the State House.
Nothing is more inspiring than seeing neighbors come together, building connections, and working towards a better future for all. Our conversations reinforced the importance of addressing key issues directly affecting the 6th Plymouth District communities. Constituents talked to me about issues such as the need for business and economic development, as well as housing that people can afford. Folks highlighted the need for improved services for our elders and veterans and environmental issues like access to water. This reaffirmed that I see the same issues as my neighbors. Our conversations have reinvigorated my excitement around forging new pathways and partnerships with others in the community and state house as your next State Rep.
Shay, your generosity and support mean the world to me. Opening your home was so kind and the perfect way to kick off the summer season. The evening was filled with great conversations, laughter, and a shared sense of purpose!
We can make a real difference and create positive change for Duxbury, Pembroke, Halifax, Hanson, and Marshfield. I'm committed to leveraging my local, regional, and state experience to hit the ground running on day one and deliver results for our community here on the South Shore.
Onward!
In Service,
Becky Coletta
