It is official! The Coletta Committee has filed with the campaign finance office for this race to be the next State Representative for the Sixth Plymouth District!
I am running because I believe my experience will make me ready on day one to be an effective representative for this District where I have lived for more than 20 years. I have served at the municipal level as a past member of the Select Boards in Pembroke and Hanson, the Planning Board in Pembroke, and various other committees; at the regional level on the Old Colony Planning Council and the Plymouth County Advisory Board; and at the state level as a staff member of the Joint Committee on Labor and Workforce Development. My prior experiences as a business owner, an attorney and a social worker provide unique perspective on supporting economic and community development in our region while maintaining communities that are great places to live, work and raise a family, as I have done.
I hope to be a strong voice on issues like housing, economic development, environmental and coastal protection, and local aid. Most importantly I would like to provide every constituent of the District with an advocate to help state government work for everyone.
We are setting up meet and greet opportunities in each town in the District, which are great opportunities to hear the concerns and hopes of people living here. And of course we will be planning a kickoff event to allow us to gather soon!
